... is a review of topical theology, an Australian Catholic quarterly publication that has provided intellectual stimulation and nourishment since the immediate post-Vatican II days.
It aims to serve the Church by fostering quality reflection and debate, being informative and thought-provoking, and thereby assisting its readers in their personal and communal efforts to charter a course through the many currents of theological opinion that they encounter. Its present editor is Fr Barry Brundell msc, parish priest of Erskineville in Sydney.
It is a popular journal among the fast-growing crowd of Catholics and others in this country and beyond who are interested in current theological developments.
Compass began under the aegis of the forerunner of Chevalier Resource Centre, St Paul's National Seminary, but it is produced independently these days and has its own site.
